At the base rung of Canon’s current mirrorless arsenal. The EOS RP has a great deal to offer. Featuring a 26.2-megapixel sensor with fabulous low light performance, the RP rivals Sony’s a7C model in terms of a powerful full-frame sensor in a smaller form-factor. Utilising Canon’s newer RF mount lens system, this camera is also backwards compatible with EF DSLR lenses thanks to the included EF-EOS R adapter, making this a perfect upgrade point for those joining the mirrorless world with some lenses of their own.

The Canon EOS R6 offers a very similar build quality to its big brother the R5, built as it is around the same alloy casing. With the R5, Canon set a new benchmark for the mirrorless camera. Designed to be a master of all trades, it manages to provide twenty 45-megapixel images per second if you want it to. The R5’s autofocus system features subject recognition and deep learning to help you focus faster than ever before, and includes eye tracking for not just people, but animals. With 5-axis in body image stabilisation and fantastic sensitivity for low light performance, the R5 is truly a complete camera. 

Paired with the R5 in this package, the Canon RF 28-70mm F2 provides wonderful image quality across the entire range of conventional portrait focal lengths. When you’re out on location, you want to be carrying as little as possible, so selecting a top-quality zoom lens may be preferable to lugging around multiple prime lenses. The RF 28-70mm is NOT light, In fact it’s known for being a little on the chunky side, but this is still preferable to having to find space in your bag for a 35mm, a 50mm, and an 85mm!
