Firmware Version 3/3.01

When storing a preset colour temperature, HSI Colour or gel colour, the selected colour being stored now fills the box, making it fast and easy to identify what colours you have stored for quick recall. Additionally, Kelvin and magenta setting information is now displayed on user presets in CCT page, whilst hue and saturation information is now displayed in both user and pre-defined Master of Light preset buttons in the HSI page.

A brand new flash slave facility enables you to trigger all skyport enabled legacy Rotolights (NEO 2, AEOS 2, Anova PRO, Titan) from just a single third party (Godox, Profoto or other third party receiver) rather than requiring one third party receiver per light. Simply plug in a third party flash receiver into the 3.5mm flash socket, navigate to the flash menu, press the dropdown arrow at the top, and touch to enable “slave out” function on the left hand side of the screen so that it is green. Now, set the light to “sync wired” indicating that you have plugged a wired flash receiver into the light, and in this mode, the light will receive the flash command on whatever receiver you have plugged in, whilst outputting a flash slave command to any Rotolight built since 2017 containing a skyport chip. Ensure your legacy Rotolights are set to channel 1, group 1 with skyport enabled, OR, adjust your preferred settings.

New App 3.0 for iOS and Android :

Brand new “Magic Eye” feature – take an image or choose an existing image from your gallery , sample the colour and the Rotolight will match it. This is a hugely useful feature for matching brand colours on commercial shoots, replicating colour from your favourite photographers’ image, or sampling a background/ hair light colour.

All new firmware 3.0 features above are also now accessible via the app.
