'The FE 135mm F1.8 GM is a fully featured short-telephoto prime and an exemplary one at that. With an 11-blade circular aperture and advanced aspherical lens element users are guaranteed gorgeous bokeh in out-of-focus areas at wide apertures and truly staggering centre sharpness between f/1.8 and f/8. Its magnificent optical performance is backed up by superlative control. Aperture can be adjusted on the fly from the barrel and it’s possible de-click the aperture ring for silent operation. It is heavy (950g) and doesn’t feature optical image stabilisation, but this isn’t likely to concern users of A7-series cameras with IBIS or anyone who wants one of the most flattering lenses for portraiture.'
